Partnering with Johnson & Johnson’s 2017 Food Drive, 20 insurance agencies participated and gave an astounding 6066 pounds of food to help their local communities. That was 3461 pounds over 2016’s donation! As a participant, Taylor Agency was able to donate 820.9 pounds with 417 pounds coming from Charleston Personal Lines office.

Taylor Agency’s Blake Adams serves as a volunteer judge each year in YESCarolina’s Annual Business Plan Competition. YESCarolina focuses on the development of Youth Entrepreneurship in South Carolina. Student winners move on to compete nationally. In 2017’s 6th annual competition host, winners (LEFT to RIGHT), Harrison Griffith (3rd place – Bishop England HS), Colin Posnanski (1st place – Wando HS), and Jasmine Adams (2nd place – Bishop England HS). Colin and Jasmine will represent our state in Nationals in October 2017.
The 15th annual Trident United Way’s Day of Caring merges hundreds of nonprofit agencies with thousands of volunteers all on one day to improve our tri-county community. Taylor Agency volunteered with Reading Partners on a project called “The Most Magnificent Thing” at Angel Oak Elementary, Mitchell Elementary, and Bonner Elementary. Reading Partners provides reading and literacy support to ensure students read at grade level by fourth grade. This year’s book, “The Most Magnificent Thing,” teaches the benefits of perseverance (November 2016).

As a presenting sponsor of the Alligator Symposium, “Alligators: More Than Meets the Eye,” Taylor Agency’s contribution to the Kiawah Conservancy and the Kiawah Island Community Association will further their mission to preserve and enhance Kiawah Island’s unique balance of nature and development.

Taylor Agency Raced for the Cure at the Daniel Island Susan G Komen Fundraiser on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Taylor Agency matched every employee’s registration and contribution to the cause. Pink was definitely in!

This year, the Red Cross hosted its annual “A Lowcountry Affair” Fund Raising Event on the USS Yorktown on April 29th, 2016. Taylor Agency participated as a platinum sponsor. Red Cross provides disaster relief, military family support, blood donations, and emergency health/safety training.

During December 2015, we were able to reach out to the community by participating w/ Meals on Wheels, Secret Santa, and we even did some caroling with the residents at Summit Place on Daniel Island!
